Many people seem to think Attorneys are clever and that we should pay particular attention to exactly what they say. Some people suggest sales people’s jargon deserves close examination – caveat emptor. It has been said that talking heads, those voluminous spokespeople appearing on television, need to be listened to carefully to actually realize what they are saying. It seems a very common conception that one must very diligently examine what a politician has said.
Even in general discussions between common people on the streets, in our neighborhoods, we may not be exactly certain that what we think we just heard is what the other person actually meant to say.
Fortunately we do have dictionaries to provide us with the common understanding or definition of a word or words, some definitions are listed here just to keep the conversation understandable.
